About the role
As the Strategic Communications Advisor, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping and communicating Summer Foundation’s vision and impact. You’ll craft and execute compelling communications strategies that amplify our policy, research, and innovation initiatives. Your strategic storytelling skills will engage diverse audiences and strengthen our reputation as thought leaders in disability support, housing, and living solutions. In this hands-on role, you’ll support organisational priorities, manage key events, develop strategies, and actively work on content to advance our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Communications: Develop and execute communication strategies that align with Summer Foundation’s mission.
- Content Creation: Craft engaging, high-impact content for internal and external audiences, ensuring consistency and strategic alignment.
- Event Leadership: Lead the planning and promotion of key events to elevate Summer Foundation’s thought leadership.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with community, government, and sector stakeholders to drive reform and broaden our impact.
- Performance Monitoring: Evaluate the effectiveness of communication initiatives, leveraging data to improve strategies and inform decisions.
About you
You’re a strategic communicator with a talent for turning complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives. With a strong understanding of strategic communications principles, you know how to influence and drive change. You are adaptive, comfortable navigating evolving priorities, and have a knack for building and aligning messaging that resonates with diverse audiences. Above all, you’re passionate about social impact and ready to advance innovative solutions for people with disabilities.
